This 1968 Aston Martin DB6 Saloon is finished in Roman Purple, a colour the page says was David Brown's favourite for the model. It has blue leather, chrome wire wheels, right-hand drive and an automatic gearbox. The engine has been uprated to 4.2 litres.
The ownership history is traced from first registration in February 1968. The car was laid up for more than 20 years before being restored and re-taxed in 2006, when it showed 1,618 miles. The current owner has kept it since then, and the MOT record climbs steadily to about 13,600 miles.
Recent work is substantial. The automatic gearbox and torque converter were overhauled in 2024. In 2026 Aston Engineering in Derby rebuilt the engine to 4.2 litres with new pistons, conrods, liners, camshafts and a reworked cylinder head. Jim Stokes' team then refitted it. The page puts the owner's spend on the engine and gearbox work at just over £60,000. A long service file backs this up.
