This 1961 Aston Martin DB4 Series II is a matching-numbers car that still wears its factory colours: Black Pearl paint over Dark Grey Connolly leather. It keeps its original registration, 1616 WY, and comes with the old brown buff logbook and the Newport Pagnell factory particulars.
It was supplied new to a buyer in Huddersfield and stayed with that owner for about 30 years. It then passed through a Wakefield owner before reaching the current Yorkshire collector in 2004. The page puts mileage at around 2,500 over those 21 years, though no odometer reading is stated. Maintenance has been mainly by Aston Martin specialists.
The dealer reports strong compressions and good oil pressure from the original engine, and a smooth four-speed gearbox. The underside is described as having sound floor pans, sills and jacking points, along with original details such as the wired-edge wings and front valances. The car sits on painted wire wheels.
