The DB4 was the car that established Aston Martin's Newport Pagnell era, and the Series II, introduced in January 1960, is the one many enthusiasts favour. It added a front-hinged bonnet, a larger sump and uprated brake callipers, while keeping the cleaner look of the early cars. Only 349 were built. This right-hand-drive example, chassis DB4/303/R, has a matching-numbers 3.7-litre twin-cam six.
It was first registered on 20 May 1960 as TKY 750, a plate it still carries, and the original buff logbook stays with the car. It left the factory in Wedgewood Blue over Off White trim. The build sheet records early work: the engine at 1,114 miles, the rear axle at 5,426 miles and a service at 15,506 miles. The car then spent more than 40 years with a single family, until 2006, covering about 14,000 miles in that time.
A full restoration was completed in 2015 by Peter Chambers Auto, including an engine rebuild and a bare-metal respray in the original blue. Nicholas Mee rebuilt the suspension in 2018 and tuned the carburettors. The history file includes the logbook, build sheet, MoT certificates, and restoration and specialist invoices. The page gives no current mileage or price.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Aston Martin's claimed 240 bhp (gross), 3,670cc twin-SU straight-six. Weight, top speed and 0-60 left null because I can't confirm factory figures; most period numbers are from magazine tests.).
