Aston Martin DB2/4

The DB2/4 was Aston Martin's 1953 update of the DB2, adding a 2+2 layout with a hatchback rear, a wraparound windscreen and larger bumpers. This is a left-hand-drive coupe from 1954, powered by the W.O. Bentley-designed twin-cam straight-six and driven through a manual gearbox. It is finished in its original combination of Deep Carriage Green over a beige interior.

The car had a complete restoration in 2009, with the body removed from the chassis and the car rebuilt, and the restoration file is documented. It has since been maintained by Century Classics, who went through the mechanicals with the Mille Miglia in mind. That work included a cylinder head overhaul with larger Mk3 valves, a steering overhaul with an uprated box, and a full brake overhaul. The gearbox was rebuilt with new bearings, seals and clutch, and DB4-style wheels were fitted with new tyres.

It has a FIVA ID card, which is required for Mille Miglia entry. It is registered in both Austria (VL86A) and the UK (435UYL), and is currently in Austria. No mileage is given. The page shows the price as "Accepted", which suggests an offer has been agreed.
