This is a 1958 Aston Martin DB Mark III drophead, finished in dark blue with a black mohair hood and black leather trim. The Mark III was the last of the DB2-derived cars before the DB4, and the dealer says this is one of only 84 made in the convertible form. It is also a left-hand-drive car, which makes it rarer still.
It was supplied new through US importer H.S. Inskip and delivered in April 1958 to a New York company, in Desert White with black leather and five chrome wire wheels. A buyer took it to Belgium in 1990 with European taxes paid, then to Switzerland in 1994. In 1998 it was entered in the Louis Vuitton China Run from Dalian to Beijing.
After that event it went to marque specialist Richard Williams for a total restoration, completed in 2000. It was used sparingly in Switzerland until the current owner bought it in 2016 and had Spraytec check it over for European touring. It shows 4,000 miles and has a 3.0-litre straight-six with a manual gearbox. The price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Aston Martin's published spec for the standard DBA engine (2,922 cc twin-cam straight-six, 162 bhp); I'm not confident of the factory weight, top speed or 0-60, so they're null).
