This is the 63rd of just 404 right-hand-drive Giulia 1600 Spiders built, all completed during 1963. Alfa Romeo's Museo archives record it as built on 1 July that year. It was sold in April 1964 to Chipstead Motors of Holland Park, London, and registered in the UK on 28 May 1964.
Originally dark blue, it had been repainted white by 1998, when a new owner commissioned a full restoration, documented with photographs. The car was finished in red and completed in summer 2004. It later went to Normandy and made a trip to the Le Mans Classic before returning to the UK. In 2013 it was sold through a marque specialist after a bare-metal repaint, with new chromed bumpers and side grilles, seat covers and carpets.
More recent work includes a braking system overhaul and carburettor rebuild in 2020. A full gearbox rebuild followed in 2021, with new synchro rings, oil seals and a clutch. The car comes with a large history file, including the photographic record of the rebuild. Mileage is not stated on the page.
