This is a 1929 Alfa Romeo 6C SS 1750 with Zagato spider coachwork, one of roughly fifty cars built that year. It is number 11 of the third series, which covers chassis 0312851 to 0312971. The 6C 1750 Super Sport is among the defining pre-war sports cars, and Zagato-bodied examples are especially sought after.
The car has competition history. It took part in the 1930 Mille Miglia, numbered 91 and driven by Angelo Ceri and Curti, but did not finish. Its first owner on the Automobile Club d'Italia record was the racing driver Achille Varsi. The car also appears in the 1968 Fusi and Slater book, then owned by a Mr R. Villa of Cesate. A history researched by John De Boer is in the photo gallery.
It is finished in patinated red with brown leather seats and has new tyres all round. The dealer describes it as mechanically strong and supercharged. It was kept by one elderly owner near Cremona and was little used in recent years. The current owner has used it on events including the Mille Miglia and Targa Florio. It carries Italian registration CO236076. The page marks it as accepted, and the asking price is listed in euros.
