TVR Tuscan Mk1 4.0 Signature Targa

This is the Str8six "Signature" Tuscan, a 2001 TVR Tuscan Mk1 4.0 Targa that the specialist took on as a showcase for its own engineering. A sound car was stripped to the last nut and bolt and rebuilt over 18 months, finished in 2019.

The work goes well beyond a standard restoration. The chassis was shot blasted, powder coated and fitted with Nimbus heat shielding, and the engine was rebuilt to Str8six race specification with road camshafts and pistons, a steel crankshaft and an MBE 9A9 engine management system. The gearbox has a close-ratio gear set and a 3.7:1 final drive, with an AP Racing clutch and lightweight flywheel. Bodywork was reworked panel by panel, with a pneumatic bonnet conversion and Porsche Slate Grey paint. The interior was retrimmed and the switchgear refinished in black chrome. Wheels are chrome 18-inch Spider alloys on Michelin Pilot Sport tyres.

It shows 5,316 miles. After completion it went to a TVR collector, who used it sparingly for around five years before it returned to Str8six. The listing is marked as sold.
