Listed today at Bicester Sports & Classics, Bicester.
The TR4A is the model that brought independent rear suspension to Triumph's Michelotti-styled roadster, and this 1965 car has it along with overdrive. The IRS cars ride and handle more tidily than the earlier live-axle TR4, and many enthusiasts regard the TR4 series as the cleanest-looking of the TR line.
This example was supplied new to Jersey as a right-hand-drive UK-specification car. It has been Black with a Matador red interior from new, and it carries a metal Surrey hardtop in addition to the roadster's folding hood.
A specialist restored it in the 1990s. The history file runs to two boxes of original documents, including MOTs, invoices and photographs of the restoration. The dealer sold it with a workshop inspection, service and 12-month warranty. The listing is marked sold and gives no price or mileage.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Standard-Triumph published engine figures (104 bhp gross, 2138cc). Other performance and weight figures come from period road tests, not the factory, so they are left null.).
