Rover 3500 S Estoura By FLM Panelcraft

The Estoura was a coachbuilt estate conversion of the Rover P6 by FLM Panelcraft, built in small numbers from the 1960s until the P6 ended in 1977. The dealer puts total production at roughly 150 to 170, mostly 3500s. The 3500 S, with its manual gearbox, was the rarest, and the dealer has heard that only about eight were made, though it can't confirm that.

This car was built by Rover in June 1974, as a Heritage Certificate confirms, and first registered in December that year. It had three owners in its first 45 years: the first kept it for four and a half years, and the second from April 1979 until 2018. The current owner bought it in June 2019 and restored it. The work covered a rebuilt engine with P38 heads, a five-speed gearbox from an MG RV8, and rebuilt carburettors, heating system and wiper motor. It also included refurbished wheels, new carpets and headlining, and a stainless steel exhaust. The page says nearly £32,000 was spent.

It is finished in Scarab Blue with a beige interior and shows 91,000 miles. The engine has covered only about 600 miles since the rebuild. The chassis number is 481-10347-D.
