Listed today at Duke of London, Brentford. Last checked today.
This is a 1994 Rover Mini SPI that began as an ordinary Sprite and has since been rebuilt by CCK Historics as a rally car. It takes its cues from the Minis Rover entered in the 1994 Monte Carlo Rally to mark the 30th anniversary of Paddy Hopkirk's win, and is finished in flame red with a white roof, door squares and bonnet stripes.
The 1293cc engine is built to Group A standards, with gas-flowing, forged pistons and ARP hardware, and makes 116bhp at the crank. Straight-cut drop gears and a close-ratio straight-cut gearset handle the transmission, and the car has four-piston billet alloy brakes at the front, alloy drums at the rear, AVO dampers and adjustable arms.
The cabin has an FIA-approved roll cage, OMP bucket seats, harnesses and a fly-off handbrake. The car comes with two interchangeable bonnets, three sets of wheels for gravel, tarmac and road, a Motorsport UK passport, spares and equipment. A digital folder with service history scans is available on request.
