Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit I

A 1989 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit with the 6.75-litre V8 and three-speed automatic, supplied new through Merlin Cambria of Cardiff. It stayed with its first owner until 2001, and the second owner added the personal plate G6 GOO, which remains with the car. The page gives about 50,000 miles from new, though the speedometer was replaced and zeroed in November 2000.

The history is unusually well documented. The original leather wallet holds the brochures, warranty papers and service booklets, with entries from Rolls-Royce Cardiff, Broughtons of Cheltenham and later a Yorkshire specialist. The most recent service is recorded at 21,500 miles on the replacement speedometer.

The current keeper bought it in 2021 and has had a specialist spend around £4,500 across two visits. Work included new filters, plugs, thermostat, belts, hoses, sphere accumulators and four Avon tyres. The radiator, brake pump and a window mechanism were reconditioned. The interior is St James' Red leather with grey piping and lambswool over-rugs.
