Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud II SCT100 By James Young

The SCT100 was the standard Silver Cloud II chassis, and James Young's coachbuilt four-door saloon is among the more elegant bodies fitted to it. This example was ordered new by Sir Bracewell-Smith, owner of the Park Lane Hotel and chairman of Arsenal Football Club, which explains the AFC27 registration. The plate is included in the price.

It is finished in the correct two-tone scheme of light and medium grey. The darker paint has been redone at some point, while the lighter paint is as it left the coachbuilder. The interior has pale grey leather with a patina consistent with its age, and the carpets, rugs and leatherwork are described as original. Burr walnut covers much of the cabin, and there are twin picnic tables in the division bulkhead and an electrically operated division. Air conditioning is fitted.

The car shows 126,000 warranted miles from new. It was bought second-hand from Jack Barclay by the second owner, and the original bill of sale comes with other papers. A complete continental touring spares kit, still in its tissue paper, is available by separate negotiation. The dealer lists the car as accepted, so a deal may already be agreed.
