Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud I Freestone & Webb

This is a coachbuilt Silver Cloud, a minority among the series I cars, with a "Razor Edge" four-door, six-light sports saloon body by Freestone & Webb. The dealer says it was the first of only eight built in this style and is the only one left in the UK. The aluminium-over-ash body was finished in 1956, with the interior trimmed by Harold Radford.

The car was re-imported to the UK in 1989 and registered here in January 1992. A full restoration followed under its late owners, who were long-standing Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts Club members. It had a bare-metal respray in 2025 in Royal Garnet over Masons Black. The cabin has new Burgundy leather and carpets, refinished burr walnut with rear picnic tables, and an unusual tinted Perspex sunroof.

The 4,887cc six-cylinder engine has been rebuilt with a rebore, new pistons and a reground crank. The four-speed Hydramatic gearbox and drum brakes were also rebuilt, and the king pins renewed. The odometer reads 99,763 miles. The V5 classes the car as an Historic Vehicle, so it is exempt from MoT and VED. It has an extensive archive of invoices and build records, with restoration bills put at around £200,000. The price carries an "Accepted" marker, which suggests it is under offer.
