The Phantom III was Rolls-Royce's only pre-war V12 and the last big Phantom before the war. This 1937 car, chassis 3BU174, carries a Barker landaulette body, a style that leaves the rear passengers under a folding hood while the driver sits in front.
It was ordered new by Sir Montague Burton, the founder of the Burton menswear chain, who used it to visit his factories and shops. It has since had a full restoration, including a rebuilt engine and mechanicals, and won its class at the 2025 Schloss Schwetzingen concours in Germany.
The car is finished in pale green over black. The driver's compartment has new black leather and the rear has Bedford cord. The burr walnut has been stripped and re-polished, and two occasional seats fold out of the bulkhead. It is registered DYK490 and holds both UK and German papers. No mileage is given.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Rolls-Royce chassis specification (7.3-litre OHV V12, Derby-built). Rolls-Royce never published power output ('sufficient'), and weight and performance depended on the individual Barker coachwork, so those figures are null.).
£170,000 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
