A 1970 911 S Targa in left-hand drive, built for the US market and first registered there in September 1970. It is believed to have come from California and reached the UK in 1990, where one keeper had it for 31 years and covered only a few hundred miles a year.
A new owner took it on in 2021 and spent more than three years and over £75,000 on the bodywork, running gear, engine and interior. The 2.2-litre Type 911/02 flat-six was extensively rebuilt in 2024 and now has SSI heat exchangers and a Dansk silencer. It is a matching-numbers car with a dog-leg five-speed manual gearbox.
It is finished in its original Light Yellow (code 62) with the brushed stainless roll hoop and 15-inch Fuchs wheels. Inside are black leather Recaro Sports seats, basketweave trim and a period Becker Europa Kurier radio. The odometer reads 58,790 miles. A history file of invoices and restoration photographs comes with it, along with spare keys, a full-size Fuchs spare wheel and the tool kit.
