Porsche 911 GT2 R

Chassis #108 is a 993 GT2 R, the factory-built customer racing version of the twin-turbo, rear-drive 993 GT2. It was delivered new in 1996 and has had just two owners. Its specification includes the Clubsport and Race version packages, a 100-litre fuel cell, endurance brakes, adjustable Bilstein dampers, a fast-refuelling system and data logging.

The racing history is well documented. It started in the 1996 BPR Series with Parr Motorsport, driven by Hugh Price, John Robinson and Peter Owen. For 1997 it moved to Roock Racing for the FIA GT Championship. It finished 4th in class and 13th overall at the Le Mans 24 Hours, took a class third at Spa and won its class at Zeltweg with Stefan Ortelli. It ran a few more races in 1998 before returning to the UK.

The current owner bought it in 2006. In 2007 Paragon Porsche rebuilt it in its 1997 Le Mans livery, keeping the Roock chassis and roll-cage modifications and the red interior. X-Tech Engineering rebuilt the engine in 2014, and the car has not been raced since. It would suit Peter Auto's Endurance Racing Legends series.
