Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Dakar-Inspired Restomod

This 1986 Porsche 911 3.2 has been converted into a Dakar-style rally restomod, a nod to the Paris-Dakar cars of the mid-1980s. It was fully restored before the safari conversion and was prepared for the 2025 Maroc Challenge, so it is meant to be used rather than just looked at.

The 3.2-litre flat-six was rebuilt by Design 911 in 2021–2022. The rally hardware includes Tuthill gravel suspension, a front strut brace, aluminium skid plates, 15-inch Braid wheels on new gravel tyres, a rear winch and a roof rack carrying a spare wheel. The interior is semi-stripped, with Recaro front seats, Tuthill five-point harnesses and a Momo wheel. The original rear seats come with the car. A Rothmans-inspired 3M livery covers the Seal Grey wrap.

The car is left-hand drive and was first registered in the UK in 1999 after import from the Netherlands. The page gives the odometer as 136,999 km. It was last serviced in May 2026 and has an advisory-free MOT until April 2027. It comes with two keys, a history file with specialist invoices and a matching spare wheel. It was recorded as a Category D non-structural insurance loss in 2000.
