The 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 occupies a compelling position in the 718 range: it shares the GT4's naturally aspirated 4.0-litre flat-six — 395bhp with no turbocharging and a rev ceiling that rewards commitment — but wraps it in a slightly more road-oriented package. This 2024 example has covered just 8,170 miles from a single owner, making it as close to fresh as a used GTS realistically gets.

Specified in black with wheels painted in Jet Black Metallic on 20-inch Carrera Sport alloys, the exterior presentation is deliberate and clean. Inside, the GT Sports Steering Wheel is the headline addition — a meaningful upgrade over the standard item that transforms the tactile experience at speed. Two-zone climate, heated seats, and front-and-rear ParkAssist with reversing camera round out a sensibly equipped cabin without veering into over-optioned territory.

On paper: 179mph, 430lb-ft of torque, and 0–62 in 4.0 seconds via the PDK dual-clutch. The PDK will split opinion among GTS buyers who'd prefer the manual available in the GT4, but it's the quicker transmission by numbers and no less involving in Sport Plus. Euro 6 compliant and at 8,170 miles still well within the early-life sweet spot of this engine.
