About this car
The 981 Cayman GT4 represents something of a watershed moment in Porsche's recent history — the first Cayman to wear the GT4 badge, and widely regarded as one of the purest driver's cars of its generation. Its 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six was drawn directly from the contemporary 991 GT3, producing 380 bhp and paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox. At just 11,100 miles from new, this example has barely been used relative to its age, and comes with full Porsche service history throughout.
The options list is well-considered for a car that clearly sees occasional track use alongside road driving. Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) are fitted — a meaningful upgrade that cuts unsprung weight and raises braking threshold considerably — alongside the Sport Chrono Package with Track Precision App and lap trigger preparation, a Sports Exhaust System, and Sound Package Plus. Heated front seats and PCM navigation keep it usable day-to-day. Finished in Agate Grey Metallic over Black Leatherette and Alcantara with Platinum Grey stitching, the colour and interior combination is understated and well-suited to the car's character.
The 981 GT4's significance has only grown since Porsche moved the 718 range to turbocharged four-cylinder power — making this last naturally aspirated, manual-only Cayman GT4 generation increasingly desirable. A low-mileage, well-optioned, fully-documented example in a neutral but attractive colour is exactly what the market favours.
