The Continental was a short-lived name for the 356, applied for the 1955 model year at the urging of US importer Max Hoffman. Ford's rights to the Continental name forced Porsche to drop it before the end of that year, so few were sold. The dealer cites the 356 Continental registry as recording fewer than a hundred survivors. This is a Pre-A car, the so-called Knickscheibe or bent-screen type.
It was fully restored in 2023, covering brakes, suspension, mechanicals, bodywork and interior. The finish is silver over red leather, the original specification according to a copy of the Kardex. The dash is painted Turkish Red with ivory switches and steering wheel, and a period Becker radio with FM is fitted.
The car is described as matching numbers, with its tool kit and jack. The chassis number is 53966. No mileage is given and the registration is listed as to be advised. The car is viewable by appointment in Northern Ireland.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car ('Continental' was a 1955 US-market name for 356 pre-A coupés and cabriolets, offered with more than one engine (e.g. 1500 and 1500 Super), so engine and performance figures can't be pinned to one published variant. Fields left blank on purpose.).
£275,000 since it was listed on 6 November 2026. No changes yet.
