MINI Margrave Wood & Pickett 1293cc

The Margrave was Wood & Pickett's take on the Mini: a coachbuilt conversion that turned a humble small car into a miniature luxury saloon. This one began life in 1976 as a Mini 1275 GT before being sent to the Park Royal specialists for the full treatment. The changes include a de-seamed rear end, a smaller rear window, a Webasto sunroof, electric windows, twin fuel tanks and a custom interior and dash. The rear seats have armrests and picnic tables.

The car was bought in 1988 by its last owner, who kept it for 23 years. He passed it to Minispeed for a seven-month restoration, which included a respray in genuine Bentley Walnut. The page puts the restoration invoice at £24,000. The engine was enlarged to 1293cc during the work, and a further £6,000 has been spent on maintenance more recently.

It is said to have covered only about 3,000 miles since the rebuild, and the odometer reading is not given. It was featured in Mini World magazine in 2019. It comes with an extensive history file, the UK V5C and a year's MoT. The dealer lists the price as accepted.
