Listed today at Hall & Hall, Bourne. Last checked today.
This is one of only two Merlyn MK12s built, a Formula 2 single-seater from the period when the category ran Cosworth FVA four-cylinder engines. It was run as a semi-works entry by Bob Gerard Racing of Leicester, with drivers including Jonathon Williams, Gijs van Lennep and Brian Hart.
At the end of 1968 the car went back to the Colchester Racing Developments factory to be updated for the 1969 season, and was redesignated 12A. It has the Cosworth FVA engine and a Hewland FT200 gearbox, with the wide wheels and tyres of the era.
The car was rebuilt to a high standard around 20 years ago but has not been used for some time. It will need some recommissioning before it returns to the track. No mileage is stated.
