Mercedes-Benz SL 500 SL

This R129 500 SL has covered 27,589 miles from new and has stayed with one family throughout. It was supplied new by Callanders Mercedes-Benz of Glasgow and first registered in December 1990. The 5.0-litre 32-valve M119 V8 produces around 326 bhp and drives the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic.

The car is finished in Willow Green Metallic with Kiwi Green lower panels, over beige leather with burr walnut trim. It comes with its matching hardtop and the original brown mohair soft top. Options include air conditioning, heated and electrically adjustable memory seats, rear seats, ASR traction control and a Becker Mexico radio/CD player.

After storage at the family's London home from the mid-2000s, it returned to use in 2020 and passed an MOT that November at 27,538 miles. Classic Motor Cars of Bridgnorth recommissioned it between March and September 2025, at a cost of £6,454. The work included a full service, new brake discs and pads, four Uniroyal tyres and replacement suspension spheres. The car is clear on all HPI registers, including the mileage register, and comes with its data card, handbook pack and manuals.
