This 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL comes from February 1971 production, close to the end of the Pagoda's run. The dealer says only 812 cars were built in that final month, and that this one is the 131st of them. Late cars like this carry the 2.8-litre engine and are generally regarded as the most developed of the W113 line.
The specification is unusual. It has a four-speed manual gearbox, rather than the more common automatic, and is finished in Moss Green Metallic with a matching green hardtop and beige leather. Options include power steering, a third side seat, tinted glass, Frigiking air conditioning, a heated rear window, a green soft top, clear glass fog lamps and a Becker Europa radio.
The car was stored from 1993 and not driven again, and the stated mileage is original. It has since had a complete nuts-and-bolts restoration. It is described as coming from a private collection in Stuttgart, and EU VAT is paid. No price is given on the page.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Daimler-Benz factory data for W113 280 SL (M130 engine, 170 PS DIN, 200 km/h with manual gearbox); only 0-100 km/h was published and the kerb weight is uncertain, so both are null).
