A 1962 Mercedes-Benz 190SL in left-hand drive, a car with a well-documented rebuild behind it. The UK owner shipped it from Spain in 1997 for bodywork restoration and a repaint, finished in 1998. Heaney Motor Company in Northern Ireland then carried out a mechanical overhaul that included an engine rebuild and new trims, gaskets and rubbers.
Later work is also on file. Mercedes-Benz of Poole supplied a new clutch and ring gear by 2010, and in 2017 Auto Barn spent over £5,000 on a Weber carburettor conversion, a new slave cylinder, bushes and brake work. Hemmels of South Wales prepared it for the most recent owner, who paid £195,000 in 2020. It has covered only a few hundred miles since then.
The SL Shop maintained it in 2024, with receipts of about £12,000. The dealer describes the bodywork and underside as excellent, the interior trim as renewed, and the engine as strong with good oil pressure. Mileage is not stated.
