The 3500 GT was Maserati's first series-production road car, and this 1961 example is a matching-numbers car. It was first delivered to an Italian owner on 10 August 1961 before moving to the US, and it is finished in silver over black leather. It has disc brakes all round and Borrani wire wheels from the factory.
In the US it had restoration work costing around £75,000 between 2008 and 2009, with invoices available. More recently it has had a full engine rebuild, including a new crankshaft and pistons, along with new shock absorbers and ball joints. It has also been resprayed from bare metal. The front seats were restored in Italy, and the engine bay has been restored. The underside is described as original and rust-free.
The car shows 52,000 miles. Its paperwork includes two folders of receipts, the original build sheet, the delivery note and Maserati Classiche certification.
