Lotus Exige Cup 430 Type 49

Listed today at Hilton & Moss, Bishop's Stortford. Last checked today.
The Series 1 Exige was Lotus's hard-edged take on the Elise, with a fixed roof, front splitter and rear wing that did real aerodynamic work. Only 604 were built at Hethel between June 2000 and November 2001, with roughly 400 in right-hand drive, mostly for the UK. This is car number 0040, first registered in August 2000 and supplied new by Kings Lotus Warwick.
It is finished in factory B25 Chrome Orange with Satin Black lightweight wheels. Just 17,900 miles from new is very low for a car of this age. Inside are the optional Sports seats with a blue Alcantara trim pack, a factory radio, the steering wheel quick-release and a harness bar with four-point harnesses.
Ownership has been stable: the third owner kept it from September 2002 to August 2025, and it is now with its fourth keeper. A detailed service history file accompanies the car, and the dealer reports a Lotus specialist inspection with a clean bill of health. At over 25 years old, it is also eligible for import to the USA.
