Listed today at William Loughran, Preston. Last checked today.
The B24S Spider America is one of the most desirable open Lancias of the 1950s, pairing Pininfarina coachwork with the company's advanced engineering. This car, chassis B24S-1008, is one of the earliest built and keeps its matching engine, numbered 1008. It is one of only 181 left-hand-drive Spider Americas made.
The specification is unusually complete, with the factory hardtop and optional Borrani wire wheels. The Bianco White paint is paired with a dark red leather interior, and the dashboard top is trimmed in the same leather as the seats, a rare period option documented in a copy of the original brochure.
History is strong. The car came from Switzerland to the UK in 2012 and has stayed in one collection since. In the 1990s it took part in the 1994 Mille Miglia and the Targa Florio, and won the Trofeo Toro at the 1994 Concorso d'Eleganza in Turin. It was restored in the 1980s and received a full mechanical restoration by Thornley Kelham in 2021. Mileage is shown as 19,503 km.
