1988 Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole

£500,000(estimated - POA)

About this car

The Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole represents the apex of the original Countach lineage — the four-valves-per-cylinder update to the 5.2-litre V12 that pushed output to 455 bhp and brought the car closer to its outrageous visual promise. This is a late "88.5" production example, among the final cars built before the Anniversary model closed out the run. Most significantly, it is one of just 17 right-hand drive Quattrovalvole examples ever produced, making it rare by any measure and disproportionately desirable in the UK market where buyers actually need RHD.

At 15,000 miles from new over nearly four decades, this car has been used sparingly and deliberately — the kind of ownership history that speaks to a collector rather than a user. The colour combination works well: Rosso over Crema leather with Rosso interior piping adds period-correct flair without the anonymity of white or black. Mechanically, the car has been maintained by Mike Pullen of Carrera Sport, a name with real credibility in Lamborghini circles, and a substantial history folder documents the car's life throughout.

Countach values have risen sharply in recent years as the generation that grew up with the poster car reached buying age, and RHD examples command a meaningful premium over LHD equivalents. With this specification, provenance, and mileage, this sits firmly at the serious end of the market.
