Listed today at Vintage & Prestige, Northampton. Last checked today.
This is an early Jensen Interceptor, the 1950s car that preceded the better-known V8 coupé of the late 1960s. The dealer says only 88 were built, 32 of them convertibles, and fewer than 20 of those survive. It uses the 3,933cc Austin straight-six and transmission from the Austin Sheerline, with overdrive and four-wheel hydraulic brakes on this later-production car.
The car is finished in maroon, repainted within the last two years, and the dealer describes the rest of it as patinated and unrestored. The current owner has had it for about 20 years and used it on rallies. The page describes the hood as in very good condition, with a perspex rear window that folds into the well behind the rear seats.
It is UK-registered as SLC622, with chassis number INT79533. The page gives no mileage or owner count.
