The XJ-S arrived in 1975 as the E-Type's replacement and was initially judged harshly, particularly for its rear buttresses. The later HE version addressed much of that, with better economy and improved build quality, and it is generally regarded as the point where the car became a convincing grand tourer.
This 1987 example is an early HE with a stated 70,000 miles. It was restored in 2015 by Jaguar specialist KWE, with the page citing around £62,000 spent on the suspension, bodywork and mechanicals.
The work is documented in a history file, and the original handbooks and a fully stamped service book are present. The dealer supplies it inspected and serviced, with a 12-month warranty.
