This is a right-hand-drive, UK home market E-Type Series II 2+2, built in October 1969 and supplied new by Henlys of London. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust certificate confirms it left the factory in Signal Red with a black interior, and the car is described as matching numbers.
In 1987, at about 49,000 miles, it had a 500-hour rebuild by Sporting Autos in Kent: stripped to the bare shell, acid dipped, repaired and repainted, with the mechanicals replaced or reconditioned and the interior retrimmed. A further cosmetic refresh in 2024 cost over £20,000, with a full repaint and re-chromed bumpers.
The speedometer shows 85,500 miles, which the dealer says is supported by MOT history back to 1975. The car has a Britax sunroof, and will be sold fully serviced with a new set of tyres.
