Its 4.3-litre V8, spinning freely to 8,500 rpm, remains one of the most characterful engines Ferrari has made, and the open-air Spider body only amplifies it. This 2008 example has covered 30,000 miles over 17 years — a modest total for a car of this age that suggests restrained but engaged ownership rather than neglect, and it comes with a strong service history to back that up.

The colour combination is well-judged: Nero Daytona over Nero leather with Grigio Chiaro stitching is properly restrained — a period-correct choice that wears well and doesn't date.
