Ferrari Dino 246 GTS Chairs & Flares

This 1974 Dino 246 GTS is one of just six right-hand-drive cars built to 'Chairs and Flares' specification, combining the wider sand-cast Campagnolo alloy wheels, flared arches and leather Daytona seats. That makes it the most desirable way to specify the targa-roofed Dino. Only 1,274 GTS models were built in total.

The car was delivered new through Maranello Concessionaires and H.R. Owen in April 1974, in Giallo Fly with black vinyl Daytona seats. It was later refinished in white after a 1983 colour change, and was comprehensively restored and retrimmed by Foskers Ferrari from 1989. Only about 2,000 miles were covered in the decade that followed.

A 2014 purchase by a collector led to mechanical work at Barkaways, including new fuel and water lines and a brake overhaul, plus an interior retrim by O'Rourkes. The work cost nearly £30,000, and the car received Ferrari Classiche red book certification in December 2014. It shows 59,660 miles and comes with two history binders, the original warranty card and a leather document wallet.
