This is a one-off conversion of a Dino 246 GT built to recreate the factory Dino 246 GTLM (chassis 02678), the car Luigi Chinetti commissioned for his North American Racing Team's 1972 Le Mans entry. The aluminium-bodied recreation starts from an original road car, chassis 03816, supplied new to the UK through Maranello Concessionaires and first registered in May 1972. It was originally specified in Giallo Fly with Blu Scuro vinyl. The car has raced for at least 20 years. The page names Elwyn Owen-Jones, Carl Blunt and Norman Meek as campaigning it in circuit racing, sprints and hill-climbs in the 1980s, and it won the Maranello Concessionaires Ferrari racing championship. Richard Hall of Hall & Hall bought it in 2002 and Ray Stewart in 2006, and Stewart's ownership saw the move to the current specification, with parts from Cosworth, Colotti and BTR among others. Specification includes a Colotti five-speed straight-cut gearbox with dog clutch, AP Racing brakes and clutch, a welded roll-cage, a 60-litre ATL fuel cell and a Novec fire suppression system. The V6 is quoted at 245 bhp. It currently runs in road-going trim with the racing equipment retained, and comes with valid FIA HTP papers and an extensive race history file. It shows 70,885 miles.
