The Dino 246 GT paired a mid-mounted 2.4-litre V6 with Pininfarina bodywork, and it is still regarded as one of the best-driving cars of its era. This right-hand-drive example was completed in July 1972 and specified new with electric windows.
It reached the UK through the importer Maranello Concessionaires and was sold new to the actor Richard Thorp, later known as Alan Turner in Emmerdale. Later owners included a powerboat racer and an engineer, before the current consignor bought it in 2007 and kept it for almost twenty years. It was red by then and was returned to its original Giallo Fly in a bare-metal respray in 2016. The interior is black vinyl.
The car has covered 42,000 miles from new. It has a history file with factory paperwork, including Ferrari's confirmation of the original order, plus the original book pack and warranty card. It has recently been serviced by the Ferrari specialist Kent High Performance Cars.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Ferrari factory figures for the European-market Dino 246 GT (195 CV, 235 km/h claimed). Ferrari quoted only a dry weight and published no 0-60 time, so both are null.).
