This is not a genuine Ferrari 308 GTS but an Auto Milan recreation, built in 1998 and registered on its V5 as a Ferrari 308 GTS. Buyers should read it as a kit-style replica rather than the real thing.
Underneath, the car is a Ford Escort XR3i donor with a multi-tube steel frame and a single-piece glass-fibre body. The 1.6 CVH engine has been rebored to 1.9 litres with twin 40 Dellorto carburettors, giving a quoted 145 bhp, and it drives the rear wheels, mid-mounted, through a five-speed manual gearbox. The dealer says it is the only one it knows of available in the UK.
It is finished in red with a cream leather interior and red carpets, and shows 12,785 miles. It has been featured in magazines, and the V5 is present. The listing is marked sold.
