This is the only 308 GT4 LM ever built: a factory-prepared competition car created for Luigi Chinetti's North American Racing Team. Chassis 08020, one of the earliest GT4s made, was stripped at Maranello, with aluminium and glass-fibre panels, Plexiglass windows, competition brakes and suspension, and a single 180-litre endurance fuel tank. The page quotes a weight saving of around 200kg over the production car.
The transverse V8 was uprated using 365 GTB/4 Daytona Competizione components to give 300bhp at 8,200rpm. Flared arches, a chin spoiler and a large rear wing set it apart from a standard Dino-badged GT4.
It started the 1974 Le Mans 24 Hours, qualifying 38th, and retired after 30 laps with clutch failure. In 1975 it was excluded by the ACO shortly before the start. It later passed through the hands of Bill Schanbacher, Howard Torman and a UK collector, who bought it in 1999, had it recommissioned and obtained Ferrari Classiche certification. That owner ran it at the Le Mans Classic in 2004 and 2006. The page describes three private owners from new, and it comes with a history file. The price is on application.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (1974 Le Mans competition conversion of the Dino 308 GT4 (NART-entered), not a series-production road car. Ferrari published no catalogue figures for it, so only the base 2926cc V8 layout is given. Power, weight and performance are left null.).
