The 296 GTS is Ferrari's first production mid-engined V6 road car — the retractable hardtop Spider variant of the 296 GTB. Its 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 is paired with a 160bhp electric motor to deliver a combined 819bhp and 740lb/ft, routed through a Ferrari F1-derived 8-speed DCT. The electrification isn't a compromise; the e-motor's instant torque sharpens response through the rev range in a way that suits the compact mid-engined layout, while the 205mph top speed confirms this is no boulevard cruiser.
