BMW 3.0 CSi

This is a right-hand-drive E9 3.0 CSi, one of only 207 built in that configuration out of nearly 8,000 Karmann-built cars. It uses the fuel-injected 2,985cc M30 straight-six with a four-speed manual gearbox, and shares its engine with the lighter, more expensive 3.0 CSL.

First registered in October 1974 and finished in Verona Red with charcoal cloth, it has been with its current keeper since 2002, the eleventh in its history. The engine was replaced with a reconditioned unit in 1985, which is recorded on the V5, and the mileage was reset to zero at that point. It has since covered 133,621 miles.

The car was resprayed in its original colour in 2017, with a new headliner, carpets and seat belts. A full Inspection II service was done in summer 2025. It has been kept in a dehumidified garage and is described as solid underneath. It comes with a history file, the original steering wheel, a second set of alloys and the original chrome front bumper. A period wood-rimmed wheel and a discreet modern audio system are fitted.
