This 1948 Bentley Mk VI carries coachwork by Freestone & Webb in the crisp razor-edge style of the late 1940s. Unusually for the period it was built without running boards, which gives it a more modern profile than most cars of its age.
Chassis B389BC was first bought by Mr Ibbitson of Hepworth to mark the company going public in 1948; Hepworth later became Next plc. The car is finished in Mason's Black with Ivory side panels, and the dealer notes the lighter colour looks paler in photographs than in person.
The ash frame and aluminium coachwork were rebuilt over three years under the current owners. Inside, the car has Wilton carpet, a new headlining in West of England cloth and Napa leather on the seats and doors. New whitewall tyres are fitted, and the odometer shows 64,395 miles. The dealer reports good oil pressure and a cool-running engine. The page shows the price as accepted, so the car appears to be spoken for.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Bentley Motors Mk VI chassis specification (4¼-litre F-head straight six, pre-1951). Bentley never published a power figure, and performance and weight for coachbuilt Freestone & Webb bodies were not officially published, so these are left blank.).
£38,000 since it was listed on 5 November 2026. No changes yet.
