Chassis RS01 is the one-off V12 Vantage RS Concept, built by Aston Martin's engineering "Skunk Works" and shown at the opening of the Gaydon Design Centre in December 2007. It pairs the compact V8 Vantage structure with the 6.0-litre V12 from the DBRS9 racer, developed with Prodrive and rated at 580 bhp, driving through a six-speed manual gearbox. Carbon ceramic brakes, extensive carbon fibre and an Alcantara-trimmed interior complete a stripped-back specification, with ABS and traction control left out. It is finished in Mako Blue.
The car's history is unusually well documented. It ran at Paul Ricard, where it reached 175 mph, appeared at Geneva and Goodwood in 2008, and was displayed at the Gaydon museum. It stayed with the factory until 2013, when it passed into private ownership. It later featured in the launch campaign for the second-generation V12 Vantage and in Octane's 2026 list of the greatest Aston Martins.
Aston Martin's Q Advanced Operations department recommissioned it in 2017 and achieved UK road registration with full type approval. It comes with a current MoT, a V5C, a history file, period photography, factory documentation and a spares package. Price is on application, and the matching 2023 V12 Vantage is available separately.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Aston Martin concept announcement, Dec 2007: one-off concept; power (~600 bhp) and performance were approximate targets only, so they are left null).
