Listed today at Simon Drabble, Hook. Last checked today.
Chassis 25 of just 26 Aston Martin DBRS9 GT3 cars built, a customer racer intended to give club and national-level drivers GT racing without the complexity of a full GT1 car.
It was owned from new by Tom Black and run by his Vantage Racing team in selected rounds of the 2010 and 2011 British GT Championship, driven by Black and Stuart Hall. It also appeared at the 2013 Brands Hatch Aston Martin Centenary Festival, and Black believes it has raced only about five times in total.
Sold in 2023, it was prepared by its current owners with an engine and gearbox overhaul, plus a new bag tank, seat, belts and fire system. It has since raced twice: 4th and 5th overall and 2nd in class at the 2024 Donington Masters GT, and a DNF in the first Motor Racing Legends GT3 race at Silverstone because of fuel starvation. That fault has been cured and checked on a rolling road, and the car is described as race ready for 2025.
