BME 119 is a pre-war Aston Martin with an unusually well-documented life. Chassis D3/252/L left the works in 1933 as a four-seat tourer in two-tone grey, built to a bespoke order with twin exhausts, an extra rear door, an outside hood and a special 6:1 final drive. It later appeared on the cover of Inman Hunter's Osprey history, Aston Martin 1913–1947.
In the mid-1950s the chassis was shortened and fitted with a MKII engine. Ecurie Bertelli has looked after it since 1986, when it was converted to full Le Mans specification. It was back on the road by 1990 and has a long record of class wins and concours awards from 1990 to 2000 at venues including Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Goodwood and Oulton Park.
A new MKII engine has recently been fitted and is only run in. The car has a Brantz rally meter, extra driving lights and race catch tanks. It holds a FIVA card and is eligible for FIA HTP papers and VSCC Buff form. The original Works Record Card is part of the history file.

The maker’s official figures for this model, not measurements of this car (Only the basic engine layout is given (1,495 cc SOHC four, front-mounted, rear-wheel drive). No verifiable 1933 Aston Martin factory figures for power, weight or performance could be confirmed, so those are null. Note: the 12/50 'Standard' was a separate, lower-spec model from the Le Mans.).
