This is one of the first Series 2 'Kamm Tail' Spiders built, chassis number 35 of the Type 105.54 run, completed in July 1971. It was the year Alfa enlarged the twin-cam four to 1,962cc and renamed the 1750 Veloce the 2000 Veloce. Alfa Romeo Archive records confirm matching numbers and the original Rosso Carmen paint over a black interior.
The car is ex-Italian and left-hand drive. It was bought new in Turin and stayed with its first owner for 40 years. It was then owned in Milan before passing through a Swiss dealer to a British collector, who imported and registered it in the UK in December 2020. The current owner has had it since March 2022. The speedometer reads 13,419 km on a five-digit dial, which the dealer gives as 113,419 km or 70,477 miles from new.
The soft top has been replaced with a new black vinyl hood. Both sills had inner and outer panels replaced with repair sections and were repainted after paint bubbling was found at the rear. The history file includes Italian and UK registration papers, Alfa archive letters, Italian Historic Vehicle Register certification, a service book and period literature. The car is MOT and road tax exempt as a historic vehicle.
