The GTAm was Autodelta's answer to the 1970 Group 2 touring car rules, built from the fuel-injected American-market 1750 GT Veloce with the engine enlarged to two litres and wide, heavily flared bodywork to cover the bigger wheels. It carried on the GTA's success by winning the European Touring Car Championship in 1970 and 1971.
This car has a documented racing history. Renata Monzeglio has confirmed in writing that it was sold to the Italian Monzeglio Squadra Corse team in February 1971 and driven by Maurizio Zanetti to the 1971 Italian Group 2 Championship in the team's yellow and brown colours. Later owners were Marco Paoletti of Florence and the Italian collector Andrea Manzoni.
It was bought from Manzoni in 2002, restored from the ground up and race-prepared in Germany, then repainted in the Monzeglio livery. Since then it has competed in road events and endurance races, including the Spa Six Hours and on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. A marque specialist has maintained it in recent years, and it comes with HTP papers. The page lists it as sold.
