Volvo's flagship seven-seater in T8 Twin Engine form pairs a turbocharged and supercharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol with an electric motor, for a combined 449 bhp and 400 lb-ft. Four-wheel drive and a claimed 0-60mph time of 5.1 seconds make it far quicker than its family-hauler brief suggests, and the 18.8kWh battery allows short zero-emission runs with a CO2 figure of just 32 g/km.
