About this car
The P1800S is the Swedish coupe that became a 1960s style icon, and the model behind the Guinness record for the highest mileage on a non-commercial passenger car. Output from the 1,780cc four-cylinder is modest at around 100 bhp, so this is a relaxed long-distance tourer rather than a fast car.
This 1966 example, registered KLD 355D, had its engine fully rebuilt in 2013. A recent workshop inspection found it mechanically strong. The wheel bearings were adjusted, new shoes and wheel cylinders were fitted at the rear, and it has new tyres all round.
The bodywork has had a comprehensive restoration some time ago, documented with photographs and a large file of invoices. The interior has no documented refresh but is described as tidy. Mileage is not stated.
