Tesla Roadster 2.5 Sport

The Tesla Roadster was the car that introduced the brand to the world, built on a Lotus Elise-derived structure at Hethel in Norfolk. This 2.5 Sport is a right-hand-drive car, a layout the dealer believes accounts for around 300 or fewer of the cars built. It uses a single electric motor with around 299 bhp and 295 lb-ft, driving the rear wheels through a single-speed BorgWarner gearbox.

It was an ex-demonstrator, first registered to Tesla in February 2012 and then to its first private owner in September 2012. It has covered 8,668 miles. In August 2024, at an indicated 8,503 miles, Tesla's Crawley service centre fitted the factory Roadster 3.0 battery upgrade with a zero-mileage pack. The battery is covered by the balance of a two-year/25,000-mile warranty until September 2026. The same visit included a 12V battery, PEM fan, condenser fan, bonnet cable and track rod end replacement, and a GPS receiver update.

The car is finished in Obsidian Black with a body-coloured hard top and a cream and black leather interior with exposed aluminium and carbon-fibre trim. It sits on staggered 16-inch front and 17-inch rear forged wheels in gloss black. Equipment includes xenon headlights, adjustable suspension, a reversing camera and an Alpine navigation system. It comes with its handbooks, V5C, certificate of conformity and two keys.
